What to do if your payment fails or you're experiencing billing issues
Payment Issues and Failed Payments
If your payment fails, we'll notify you and your subscription status will be updated to "Past Due". Here's what you need to know:
Why Payments Fail
Common reasons for payment failures include:
- Insufficient funds in your account
- Expired credit card
- Card issuer declined the transaction
- Incorrect billing information
- Bank security restrictions
What Happens When Payment Fails
When a payment fails:
- You'll receive an email notification about the failed payment
- Your subscription status will change to "Past Due"
- Your account will remain active for a grace period
- We'll automatically retry the payment
Resolving Payment Issues
To fix a failed payment:
- Go to your Billing settings
- Click "Manage Billing" to access the billing portal
- Update your payment method with a valid card
- The system will automatically retry the payment
Updating Your Payment Method
If your card has expired or you need to use a different payment method:
- Access the billing portal from your settings
- Navigate to "Payment Methods"
- Add a new payment method or update your existing one
- Set it as your default payment method
Account Access During Past Due Status
While your account is in "Past Due" status:
- You'll still have access to your account
- You may see reminders about the payment issue
- Once payment is successful, your status will automatically return to "Active"
