Everything you need to know about free trial periods
Trial Periods
New subscriptions may include a free trial period. Here's what you need to know:
How Trials Work
During a trial period:
- You have full access to all features of your selected plan
- You won't be charged during the trial
- Your subscription status will show as "Trialing"
- You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged
Trial Duration
Trial periods typically last for a set number of days (commonly 7, 14, or 30 days). The exact duration depends on the plan you select and current promotions.
Payment Method Required
To start a trial:
- You'll need to provide a valid payment method
- Your card won't be charged during the trial
- You'll only be charged if you don't cancel before the trial ends
Trial End Date
You can see your trial end date:
- In your Billing settings
- In email reminders we send before the trial ends
- In the billing portal
What Happens When Trial Ends
When your trial period ends:
- Your payment method will be automatically charged
- Your subscription status will change to "Active"
- Your regular billing cycle will begin
- You'll receive a confirmation email
Canceling During Trial
To cancel during the trial period:
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Manage Billing"
- Cancel your subscription
- You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends
Trial Reminders
We'll send you reminders:
- A few days before your trial ends
- On the day your trial ends
- After your trial converts to a paid subscription
Converting Trial to Paid Subscription
If you want to convert your trial to a paid subscription early:
- You can do this anytime from your billing settings
- The billing cycle will start immediately
- You'll be charged the prorated amount
Multiple Trials
Generally, each account is eligible for one trial period. If you've already used a trial, you won't be able to start another one with the same account.
